How Implant-Supported Dentures Work
The process begins with the implant posts being placed in the jaw, where they bond with the bone over a healing period. Once that bond is established, a custom-crafted denture is fitted with attachments that snap onto the implants. Patients can remove the denture at night for cleaning, but throughout the day, it’s stable, comfortable, and reliable like natural teeth.
Implant-supported dentures typically last five years or more, and many patients enjoy them for much longer. The implants themselves, when properly cared for, can last a lifetime. This makes them a smart investment compared to the recurring costs of adhesives, relining, and replacement that come with traditional dentures.
Who Is a Good Candidate?
Most patients who are missing all or most of their teeth in one or both arches can benefit from implant-supported dentures. Good general health and adequate bone density are important factors, and we will evaluate both at your consultation. Even patients who have experienced bone loss may still be candidates. We will give you an honest assessment of your options and what to expect.
Our Restorative Services in Lindsay
Implant-supported dentures are one part of a complete restorative menu we offer to patients coming from Lindsay and throughout Tulare County. No matter where you are in your dental health journey, we have a path forward for you, which may include the following treatments:
- Dental implants: Single-tooth implants are the gold standard for replacing individual missing teeth. They function, look, and feel like your natural tooth.
- Dental crowns and bridges: Crowns protect damaged teeth and restore their shape and strength. Bridges are an effective option for replacing one or more consecutive missing teeth.
- Partials and dentures: For patients who prefer a non-implant solution, we offer well-crafted partial and complete dentures designed for comfort and a natural appearance.
- Same-day crowns: Using our CEREC technology, we can design and deliver a permanent ceramic crown in a single appointment with no temporaries and no second visit.
Each treatment plan is built around you. We take the time to understand what matters most to you before making any recommendations.

Porterville is just a short drive from Lindsay, and for more than 34 years, Dr. Hardt has been building a practice defined by quality, honesty, and genuine care for patients. We Speak Your Language
Our team includes Spanish-speaking providers and staff, making it easier for Spanish-speaking patients from Lindsay to feel comfortable and fully understood throughout their care.
Flexible Payment Options
We know that restorative dentistry can feel out of reach financially. That is why we work with CareCredit to offer financing options that let you get the care you need now and pay over time. For patients without insurance, our in-house membership plan provides an affordable alternative. $450 per year covers your initial visit, two cleanings, and 10% off any additional treatment.
Out-of-Network, Not Out of Reach
We are a fee-for-service practice, which means we do not contract directly with insurance networks. However, we work with all major insurers and handle the paperwork so that your benefits can be applied toward your care. Many of our patients with Delta Dental and other PPO plans find that their out-of-network benefits cover a meaningful portion of their treatment costs.
Regular dental care matters at every age. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, adults with dental coverage are significantly more likely to receive consistent dental care than those without, reinforcing the value of options like our membership plan and CareCredit financing for patients in communities like Lindsay.
